O.J. Simpson headed prison

"The former NFL star was convicted of armed robbery and other felonies following a botched attempt to recover memorabilia last year in Las Vegas. He will spend at least nine years in prison before he's eligible for parole," reports USATODAY.com.

The Associated Press reports,"Simpson, 61, was sentenced Friday to nine to 33 years in a Nevada state prison, and co-defendant Clarence 'C.J.' Stewart, 54, was sentenced to 7 1/2 to 27 years after a jury found them guilty of kidnapping, armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and conspiracy."

AP also reports, "The four O.J. Simpson co-defendants who took plea deals and testified against the former football star were sentenced Tuesday by Clark County District Court Judge Jackie Glass."

Here are the charges to which they pleaded guilty, the sentences they faced and what they received:

      Michael McClinton, 50, of Las Vegas, pleaded guilty to felony robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Faced up to 11 years in prison. Sentenced to two to seven years, suspended; eight years of probation.

      Walter Alexander, 47, of Mesa, Ariz., pleaded guilty to felony conspiracy to commit robbery. Faced probation or up to six years in prison. Sentenced to one to four years, suspended; four years of probation.

      Charles Cashmore, 41, of Las Vegas, pleaded guilty to felony accessory to robbery. Faced up to five years in prison. Sentenced to one to three years, suspended; three years of probation.

      Charles Ehrlich, 54, of Miami, pleaded guilty to felony attempted burglary and attempted accessory to robbery. Faced up to five years in prison. Sentenced to 1 1/2 to four years, suspended; six years of probation.
